My name is Danette Heinlein, and I currently live in the small town of Buchanan, VA. I moved to Virginia from San Diego County, California in July of 2009.

I have been married for over 33 years to my husband Tim, and we have two daughters, Casey and Hannah, both of whom have brought 2 sons-in-law, Jake and Bruce and 4 grandchildren, Acadia, Elias, Poppy and Vera into our lives.

I have worked in a variety of fields throughout my adult life, computer programming, project management, document imaging, personnel, secretary/admin assistant, and loan management. I retired from full-time work in May of 2022 when we moved to Buchanan.

God led me to my position here at Fincastle Presbyterian in November of 2022 and joined in membership in the autumn of 2024. I stay involved in community life through our local Lions club, volunteering as needed with other community and local organizations.
